• 1:30pm – 2:30pm: Taurus Use and Design Masterclass by Lightware - Utilizing Taurus to enable USB Connectivity in AV Operations  
  • Participants can learn more about how to empower their meeting rooms with simplified and consistent controls switching utilizing a single cable of USB-C for video, audio, Ethernet and charging up to 100W. Lightware's experts will also touch on a few review common 'pain-points' to help AV professionals avoid the most common pitfalls of integrating USB technology into any collaboration space. The session includes a comprehensive overview of the benefits of USB-C over other connectivity standards, common room designs as well as a detailed guide into the differences between various USB-C cables.  The class will demonstrate how the Lightware Taurus product line solves the problems of USB and USB-C in system designs.

• 2:30pm-3:30pm: NETGEAR AV Level 1 Certification: Networking Fundamentals for AVoIP 
  • This introductory course provides a comprehensive overview of networking essentials tailored for AV over IP (AVoIP) applications. Participants will gain foundational knowledge on IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, multicast, and the role of protocols like IGMP in managing AV traffic. Emphasis is placed on designing and configuring networks that ensure smooth, high-quality AV streaming, covering key NETGEAR AV switch features such as IGMP Plus™ for optimized multicast traffic control. By the end of the course, attendees will be equipped to set up and troubleshoot basic AVoIP networks, making it ideal for AV professionals new to networking or looking to strengthen their skills in AVoIP environments.

  • Learning to integrate Microsoft Teams Rooms into large, high impact AV spaces. This class will walk through the design and integration requirements to bring the Microsoft Teams Room Experience into divisible, large boardrooms and classroom applications.

• 4:30pm – 5:30pm:  Exploring   Voice Lift:  Elevating   Intelligibility
  • This course will introduce AV professionals to the concept and application of VoiceLift technology, exploring its unique role in enhancing in-room communication by subtly increasing audio gain. Attendees will learn about design goals, microphone selection, and the differences between VoiceLift and traditional PA systems, including AVIXA standards. Through examples of varied spaces, from meeting rooms to lecture halls, the course covers zoning, latency, and mix-minus techniques for effective audio coverage. Attendees will also review Sennheiser’s tools for maximizing VoiceLift effectiveness, such as beamforming, intelligent noise control, and priority zones, ensuring best practices for achieving natural, clear sound.
