SPEAKER BIOS

Gareth Johnson - Stand Alone Productions

Multi instrumentalist Composer / Mixer / Producer based in London at Metropolis Studios in a custom built studio featuring a Neve BCM10 Mk2, PMC Monitoring and a collection of the worlds most sought after analogue outboard, guitars, drums and keys.

Focussed heavily on playing real instruments and tracking live, his productions have relied heavily on a great sounding analogue front end, microphones and old school recording techniques. This is combined with working in a DAW for mixing for a truly hybrid approach to production.
Gareth has over 600 published tracks used globally across TV, Film and Games. Working in multiple genres from rock to hip hop and full orchestral scores recorded at Abbey Road and beyond.

Aside from his composition work Gareth has worked as a mixer for artists including The Who, Noel Gallagher Them Crooked Vultures and many other bands. He has also worked in motorsport, designing the entire audio package for FIA Formula E global race series, from initial concept to launch and the first 8 seasons. Gareth is proud to be associated with Teenage Cancer Trust. Mixing all their shows from the Royal Albert Hall since 2005.

Kurt Martinez

Kurt Martinez is a Recording Engineer and Dolby Atmos Mixer based at the historic Dean St. Studios in Soho, London. Home to two state-of-the-art 9.1.4 Dolby Atmos Music suites. Working from a number of well-known studios across London, including the world renowned Sarm and Metropolis Studios, Kurt learnt from an array of talented and sought after engineers and producers from both sides of the Atlantic.

Kurt has worked on the Platinum-selling singles ‘Rain’ by Aitch & AJ Tracey and ‘REACT’ by Switch Disco & Ella Henderson and the No. 1 Album ‘Tension’ by Kylie Minogue including the single ‘Padam Padam’. He has also worked on the Top Ten albums 'You & I' by Rita Ora and ‘2.0’ by JLS, as well as live-concert films for Billy Idol and Duran Duran, and the six-part Audible Original musical 'Crush Hour' featuring the vocal talent of Ellie Goulding.

Kurt has also worked on a number of projects in music for television, film and games including the soundtrack for Luc Besson’s ‘Dogman’, the Netflix adaptation of 'Lady Chatterley's Lover’, the soundtrack for the PlayStation title ‘Horizon: Forbidden West’, Jack Whitehall's ‘Christmas with my Father’, the Bollywood feature film ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ and the soundtrack for Apple TV’s ‘Strange Planet’.

Pierpaolo Demarchi

Pier is an experienced Dolby Atmos mixer, known for delivering immersive audio experiences. With a portfolio featuring high-profile clients such as David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren, Stormzy and Juls, Pier skillfully utilizes the capabilities of the Dolby system to enhance every project.

His unique blend of creativity and technical expertise ensures that each mix stands out, marking him as a highly regarded professional in the industry. Pier's versatility allows him to excel across different genres, adapting his approach to suit the unique needs of each artist and style.
